Geocache Description:

Home Savings is a defunct financial institution that, beginning in the 1950's, worked with the Millard Sheets Studio to design "buildings that will be exciting seventy-five years from now."  Mr. Sheets designed elegant buildings featuring beautiful mosaics, murals and sculptures.  His work can still be seen on many of the Home Savings buildings, which were bought by Washington Mutual, then acquired by the current banking institution.  He created his iconic artwork for other buildings as well.  After finding the cache, travel to the nearby bank and note the murals on all 4 corners of the building.  Also surviving is a sculpture on the Lincoln Avenue side of the building.  This sculpture used to be a fountain before being filled in with dirt.  There are two murals inside the bank as well.  The cache is down the street a bit and contains a log sheet only, bring a writing implement.

In addition to the one in Burbank that I remember, use Google Street View to see the old and new bank buildings with murals on adjacent corners at Beach Blvd and La Palma Ave in Buena Park.
