A bicicleta faz parte do nosso dia a dia desde a infância, onde é um objeto de sejo e brincadeiras até a vida adulta onde torna-se um meio de transporte ou um obejto de lazer e competição. Podesmos listar alguns efeitos benéficos da bicicleta como melhoria da saúde do ciclista, diminuição de congestionamentos e diminuição na emissão de CO2, como razões suficientes para o investimentos dos governos na criação de ciclovias e no incentivo ao usao deste meio de transporte. Infelizmente no Brasil isto não é uma realidade, e convivemos com muitas cidades sem nenhum espaço destinado a ciclistas nas ruas e rodovias, além da falat de incentivo e falta de conscientização dos motoristas de automotores.
Outro aspecto importante a se ressaltar é o enorme número de acidentes com ciclistas, seja por falta de loval para trafegar, imprudência e desrespeito de motoristas ou o desrespeito dos próprios ciclistas das regras de trânsito e segurança. É preciso pensar em projetos para o benefício de todos, desde a educação e conscientização como os de obras e leis, pois sem pensar no coletivo não teremos oportunidade de uma sociedade mais segura e saudável.
