Although I have since moved away, I grew up in Hockley and my parents still live there. Looking at the geocaching.com map of the UK, I'm surprised to see that there are so few caches in Hockley, other than the woods between there and Rayleigh. To remedy this, I've decided to plant a few sneaky hides around town for you to find.
This cache isn't hard to find, if you know where to look. Whilst small, it has just about enough room for a couple of small swappables, so I've stocked it with a few mystery items with which to trade. Have fun!
If you have time, check out Plumberow Mount (a short walk or a 1 minute drive from this cache). It's thought to be an ancient burial mound by local experts, though I always thought it must be the earthworks of a small, ancient wooden fort, long since rotted away.
