gsmX2, Scott, is excited to teach the commonly used Windows-Based Geocaching Software (WBGS) on two consecutive Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Ojai Village Mobile Home Estate Clubhouse. On January 12, he will teach a Basic Class designed for beginners or those who were intimidated by the program. On January 19, he will teach an Intermediate Class for those who want to go beyond the Basics and do more than "scratch the surface". Each course will start precisely at 7:00 p.m. so you will have ample time to socialize beforehand.

The best part is that I will provide you a handout of click-by-click instructions, so you can take what you heard and saw presented home with you to practice.
Topics will include:
- Downloading - Installing - Initial Setup of WGBS
- Creating your first database with the geocaching.com "My Finds" PQ
- Importing PQs into other databases
- Filtering out DNFs or filtering for FAV points
- Changing and saving Views to display different information for different purposes
- Exporting a database to your GPS or Smart Phone for offline geocaching
- Using GSAK's "Mass Logging" feature to publish individualized Lots
- Using GSAK to copy/paste your coordinates to avoid errors when publishing geocaches
