Welcome to West Island! This piece of land in the town of Fairhaven is two-thirds forest, most of which is open for hunting. It is also a popular summer time tourist destination, with single and full season passes available for parking. There are also a number of houses on the island, which are a mix of year-round residents and summer rentals.
The cache is located at a small pull off at the entrance to the island near a welcome sign. Although placed to welcome you to the island, you can only access by parking as though you are leaving the island. There is room for about two cars near the cache, although you can park and walk back to it if you choose to do so.
