The Church
Probably dating from around the 12th century the original church was dedicated to Saint Cyndir/Keneder, a disciple of Saint Cadoc. But nothing remains of the original building and very little is known of it either, with the current building dating from the 1870's when it was completely rebuilt. The building consists of a vestry, chancel and porch with a bell-cote at the west end.
Unfortunatley the church was closed to services a few years ago and much of the furniture was removed, however when I visited the church was open and inside there were still some remnants including the unlined red sandstone font with it's interesting zig-zag pattern on the rim.
The Cache
Parking can be had in the car parking area next to the saw mill - just drive up to the top entrance of the stone-covered parking area and you will find a small path to the church gate. You will need to go through the gravyard to reach the footpath to the west of the church where the cache is located. Cache is a Bison-type container. Nice views here too!
