The Great Buffalo Creek (now called Buffalo Crick, at least for this cache ;-), was the furthest point east where Native Americans and early settlers from the East, successfully herded buffalo and tricked them over the edge of the huge ravine at the cache site and into the river, thus giving this tributary its name.
