Suisun Marsh Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Virgojams: Came by this evening near the cache area as I have not been around here for awhile. Indeed the whole side of the road on both sides has been wiped out which removes any cache hide potential. Definitely need to archive this unfortunately. It was fun while this one was out here.

Geocache Description:

Suisun Marsh is the largest single estuarine marsh in the United States.

The marsh is home to many species of birds and other wildlife, and is formed by the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers between Martinez and Suisun City, California and several other smaller, local watersheds. Adjacent to Suisun Bay, the marsh is immediately west of the legally defined Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta as well as part of the San Francisco Bay estuary. The Suisun Marsh is named for the Suisunes, a Patwin sub-tribe, who inhabited the area around 200 years ago. There is a small pullout spot just past the cache. Happy caching!
