You will need to bring your own pencil or pen since the cache is too small to hold one. The Andromeda Galaxy, Messier 31 or M31, is around 2.537 million light years from Earth. You can see it with your eye alone. It is headed towards the galaxy we are in at a speed around 250,000 mph. It will collide with our galaxy in approximately 3.75 billion years.
