Geocache Description:

Chess Trivia

This is an 11 stage multi-cache with a little bit of a hike. This multi will take you on a wonderful tour of the shoals. You will use the numbers easily found at each informational sign to continue to the next stage. You will know what numbers to use at each stage as they will pop out at you once you arrive at ground zero. Enjoy.

Permission for this multi and usage of the existing signs was given by park Officer in charge.

The highest number of moves in a tournament game is 269. It was played in 1989 between Nikolic-Arsovic and lasted 20 hours and 15 minutes. It ended in a draw.

The Fools Mate is the quickest possible way to end a chess game. The game is over in 2 moves.

Bobby Fischer holds the record for most consecutive wins
