Parkland County Winter Warm Up Event Cache

Come and see what Winter Warm Up is all about. 

Have some spare time, stick around and help coach some folks in the activity we all love dearly. 

New to geocaching yourself? This is a great place to exlpore and find many caches close by with the help of more exprienced cachers! 

The event runs from 10am - 2pm and is fun for the whole family. 

Winter Jacket? Check. Snow Pants? Check. Boots? Check. Sounds like you're ready to join us at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area for a family fun day filled with winter activities that you may not have had the chance to try. 

Parkland County's Economic Diversification department will be teaming up with local businesses to promote regional tourism, living local and community engagement!

What’s the catch? We will be accepting a non-perishable food item or a cash donation in exchange for each cup of hot chocolate or the use of equipment. ALL money and food donations will go to local food banks!

Activities include:
Fatbiking - hosted by Mud Sweat And Gears
Geocaching – hosted by volunteers in the local geocaching community
Ice Fishing Awareness – hosted by The Fishin' Hole Canada
88.1 The ONE "Parkland County's Best Country" will be broadcasting live from location

Perks Coffee House will be there to provide hot chocolate and coffee.
Freson Bros. will be donating hot dogs - cooked by the Spruce Grove Kinettes!
