Kurzes Event auf dem Strand der Toten

Der Strand von Ajuy besteht aus schwarzem Lavasand und wird Playa de los Muertos genannt. Übersetzt bedeutet dies Strand der Toten. Die Bezeichnung kommt nicht von ungefähr, da damals an diesem Strandabschnitt die Piraten nach Fuerteventura kamen. Piratenüberfälle und Massaker bestimmten eine Zeit lang das Inselleben.
