Shingle Creek starts and ends in Wanamingo. It is a spring fed creek that starts out in a field, north of Cty Rd 12 and east of 105th Ave, which are all southwest of town. It winds its way north to Riverside Park and dumps into the Zumbro River there. The bridge it passes under, on Cty Rd 30, is one of the few left in the area that is still treated timber. The park has all the amenities for a fun filled outing. There are even a few caches near by. I'm glad you came and hope you enjoyed the park.
The cache your looking for is the standard small bison tube but be cautious of traffic and the creekside itself. Safe parking is right there at the park. This can be a high muggle area, pending the time of year. Please use stealth as needed. The cabin there, is used by the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
