Back in the day - BC (Before Computers), people had to think up ways to send secret messages for various reasons. Greed. Power. Money. Love. Just to name a few. So before there was Microsoft, let alone electricity, necessity being the mother of invention, this one guy, Vigenere, created a clever way to keep people from reading what he was passing on to his trusted friends and associates. Attached is a copy of The Vigenere Tableau for your use in deciphering the coordinates for the North and West coordinates. The way this thing works is that the receiver has an exact copy of the Tableau used by the sender. In order to decode the message the receiver must know what keyword was used to encrypt the message. The keyword....are you ready for this.....read carefully.....is.....foundit
Now, all you have to do is figure out how to use the keyword. Good Luck.
Encrypted coordinates:
S h b e h m g n b y m h z h j w a u w a b c g c k r v x
b n y e r a x a s h s l d x y v l r h b a w s y s r c k y v l r h a x a s h
By the way, if you enjoy this type of cache, more information about it is contained in a book written by Gary Blackwood ~ Mysterious Messages (A history of Codes and Ciphers).
