Route Information
Welcome to our first route in England! We hope you enjoy it.
This route of 10 traditional geocaches take you around an hour and a half, and it may be walked the opposite way (i.e. from #10 to #1). It has caches that should be relatively easy to find, although some are intentionally harder than others! Your walk is mainly on quiet roads and along calm footpaths, so suitable in both winter and summer. Most caches are micro to small in size, but we have tried to make a few exceptionally entertaining and unique to make the walk fun!
Even during summer, plant overgrowth is minimal and shouldn’t hamper your efforts walking. However, particularly underneath tree cover, it can get particularly muddy during winter or after rain, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!
If visiting this series from, or going to, other nearby caches such as the “Alpington Swag” series, it should be fine, but it can get muddier and more overgrown, particularly along the nearby fields, dependent on the season. Whilst you’re here, go find those caches as well!
Favourite points and unique, interesting logs make for good reads and are always appreciated! ;)
Cache Recovery
If you believe a cache has gone missing, please message me and I will take a look in that same week, and if it is not there, I will attempt to replace it within 2 weeks. Whilst we love reading all the logs, please don’t report missing caches there and instead send me a message.
No log, or the log is full? I make sure to carry a few spare logs in my caching bag when out on walks in case this happens. If you’ve got spare logs, feel free to place one in. If not, send me a message and I will delve into my caching bag and replace it quickly.
If you find a cache on the floor, let me know and quote the cache name or number, we’ll come out for a maintenance visit ASAP.
If you are the landowner and want to discuss details about a cache, please send me a message though Geocaching.com. Although I have contacted the Council and used the land registry to contact owners of land for all my caches, I understand deeds, ownership and opinions may change so I am very happy to collaborate on updating cache locations.
