The Scarborough Studio
The building was built in 1856 by Oliver Sarony. It was a purpose built studio and the building is decorated with stone carvings, said to be the heads of the artists who worked for Sarony and one of them may well be Sarony himself.
The new studio building was designed by local architects John and David Petch.
The building is currently used as flats but at one time it was used as a hotel, The Fairview Hotel and Anns Garden Restaurant
