Sometimes, when I look at a mystery cache, I feel completely clueless. For example, a single image. Unless the image is of a sign reading “The geocache is at such and such coordinates,” I’m lost. Or even more puzzling, I’ve run across a mystery cache without anything other than the statement that the cache is not at the posted coordinates. Hmmm. Not even a hint? Give me a bunch of 1’s and 0’s, and I don’t know where to start. I’m slowly learning more and more, and beginning to solve puzzles that confounded me two months ago. I am in awe of the amazingly creative geocaches I’ve run across. Those that is, that I have managed to understand enough to be awed by. Otherwise, I’m just in awe of the people who solve them.
This puzzle was inspired by the 28 different ways I tried to manipulate some binary code recently to solve a puzzle cache. I was not successful, but it did give me an idea for a puzzle of my own. Constructive criticism is very welcome!
