Geocache Description:

A roadside cache in the shady (here are a lot of big trees!) SW5 residential area of Vanderbijlpark.

Please use your thumb to press the container open.


The cache is situated in Van Wouw Street, Vanderbijlpark.  The street is named after the sculptor Anton van Wouw (1862 - 1945) who, among other statues, made the figure of a woman incorporated into the Voortrekker Monument near Pretoria, a powerful bust of General Christiaan de Wet and the statue of Louis Botha in Durban.  He also sculpted the bronze statue of Paul Kruger in 1896 whch has been located in Church Square, Pretoria, South Africa since 1954.
