Through the years we have seen the evidence of vehicles back here that did a little "mudding". The culvert to get over the ditch was torn out, and we thought for sure it was the "mudders" that caused our easy access to be taken away. We were wrong, it was replaced with new culverts.
We have seen bird watchers, photographers and hikers enjoy this part of the park.
We wanted to place a few more caches here many moons ago but the park quit mowing the field. It had gotten so tall that we gave up hope of placing any other caches back here.
The Floods of 2016 seem to have left a big mark. A lot of the underbrush is missing, and there is a brown line so high up in the small trees and bushes. The debris is laying everywhere. It is hard to wrap my brain around how much water was covering this area.
Even after the floods, this past Fall the grass was possibly as high as myself.
As of January 9, 2017 the field is mowed, the culvert is in place and we have a few more caches hidden.

The park hours are 7a.m. to 10p.m.
You need to know after a rain this park will be wet and muddy, or maybe even flooded.
Be aware of your surrondings, there are snakes and other wildlife including the mosquitoes.
For easy access, there is a trail to take from the parking area. In a short distance you will arrive in the big open field. Follow your Gpsr from there.
