Geocache Description:

Woodpeckers find food in these trees.  They pound and pound, wood chips flyin' all around to get to yummy bugs!

Tap, Tap, Tap the birds hit wood with their strong beaks, look and listen for insects moving. If they see or hear an insect, they keep pounding until the insects are caught.

Woodpeckers can make tiny holes to big craters as they look for a meal.

Look at the trees in the woods and you can see many places where woodpeckers have been.
