We have several sets of caches all together and sailing on the last Voyage(s) of the the small white ship that the person that introduced them to Geocaching will be along with them.
In my case it was nevgar from the FAR NORTH of Canada that introduced me to Geocaching in 2006 when he took me to a cache near me and set the bug in me.
Then we have a cacher along that I started in caching from the UK who like me likes to cruise and Geocache. Then there is CPT Morgan from Alberta, Canada. Mind you we all like to Cruise and geocache! How do you think I got my geocaching name?
We have all visited some pretty unique places in the world while cruising and geocaching. For me it was the Falkland islands trying to get a FTF and finding the cache to find that it had been logged 1 week before. While this was a let down it was walking around the corner and seeing a pair of penguins on the trail looking at us.
It should be noted that there is a daily tradition in Malta that happens twice a day at 1200 and 1600 hours. It is the firing of the Saluting Battery a mere 500m away from the Event.
So the plan is to have an event the Hard Rock Cafe at the posted coordinates or near by.
- March 24th 2017
- Hard Rock Cafe, Vault 17, Valletta Waterfront, Valletta, Malta - outside meet to start. Enough attend then will request table space.
- It will last from 1515 to 1615 hours.
We have to be back on-board smallish white ship by 1630 so we don't dare be late!
We hope to see a few locals or those visiting Malta at this event! There is about 10 of us on this cruise.
