The cache is in the foothills of the colorful Gila Mountains at the base of Fortuna peak, on Arizona State Trust Land. A recreational permit is required to geocache on Arizona State Trust Land and can be purchased on the [Arizona State Land Department's website] (https://land.az.gov/natural-resources/recreational-permits) in order to geocache there. Need high clearance vehicle and might want 4 wheel drive. Vehicles follow existing trails. Hiking to the cache can be steep and strenuous. Option to hike all the way, park off county 15E and hike along the trails. Observe all desert precautions and expect all desert inhabitants and big horn sheep. Replace as found. BYOP & TOTT.
