Als 1195 die Stadt gegründet wurde, war Büren schon seit 300 Jahre eine Bauernsiedlung in Westfalen. Büren, damals Buranon, wurde 1095 erstmals erwähnt und schreibt seit dem Geschichte.
Das Erscheinungsbild von Büren ist geprägt durch die Barockzeit und dem Mittelalter, durch die Natur und durch die einzigartigen Bauwerke der früheren Zeit. Eines der bemerkenswerten Gebäude ist Deutschlands einzige Dreiecksburg “Wewelsburg”. Sehr schön anzusehen auch die barocke Jesuitenkirche Maria Immaculata im Herzen der Stadt.
Mit dem Motto: “Büren ist Einzigartig” wollen wir euch die kulturreiche Atmosphäre im Herzen von Westfalen präsentieren. Als Rahmen dient all das, was das Herz jeden Cachers begehrt.

Wir bitten alle, gleichzeitig mit Ihrem WA-LOG, auch die Teilnehmeranzahl (auch Kinder bis 10 Jahre) mit anzugeben, damit wir die passende Anzahl an Armbänder bereit halten können.
Für Geocacher, die schon am Freitag anreisen, haben wir am Freitag von 17:00 – 19:00 Uhr auch schon das “Meet & Greet” und am Sonntag von 9:00 Uhr bis 10:30 Uhr das Frühstück.
Der Eintritt wurde im Vorfeld mit Groundspeak abgestimmt.
