Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, but these coords will work for parking. To get the final coordinates and find the cache , you will need to answer a few questions about a type of copyright trap, known as a "paper town".

"Paper towns" were a technique once used by cartographers to catch forgers. They're basically fake towns that would be knowingly inserted into their maps. Then, if one of their fake towns appeared on a map that they did not create, it was a dead giveaway that the map was a copy.

One of the most famous paper towns is Agloe, NY, which was featured in a book published back in 2008, by author, John Green, aptly titled "Paper Towns".

Agloe (created by Otto Lindberg and Ernest Alpers) was unique in that it actually became real, at least for a time. There was even a store located in this fictional spot, known as the "Agloe General Store". Eventually, however, the store went out of business and the town faded back into nonexistence (although it still showed up on many maps, published as recently as the 1990s).

Moving on...

To get the final coordinates, you will need to answer the following questions.

N 37* 41.ABC W097* 22.DEF

1. The fictional town of Agloe, NY was located at the intersection of New York State Route ___ and Morton Hill Road. Add the first and third digits of the state route number together. This is A.

2. Divide your previous answer by 2. This is B.

3. The fictional town of Goblu, OH was located near the real town of Bono, just off State Route _. This is C and E.

4. The phantom settlement of Argleton was located just off the A__ road within the civil parish of Aughton in West Lancashire England. Add the 2 digits of the road together; then subtract 1. The 1st digit of this number will be D. The 2nd digit will be F.

Good luck and happy caching!
