Palermo Park

The realignment of Bronte Road (Regional Road 25) affected the previous location of Palermo Park and the town committed to replacing this park facility. In 2009, the town's Parks and Open Space department constructed a ‘new’ Palermo Park within the north Oakville lands. Palermo Park will eventually link to the Glenorchy Conservation Area.
Palermo Park will be constructed in two phases:
- Phase One (complete) includes two softball diamonds, parking facilities, landscaping, walking trails and a temporary leash free zone.
- Phase Two is proposed to include an additional sports field, a splash pad and playground, a washroom/change pavilion and further landscaping.
These proposed improvements will go forward when the appropriate capital funds are approved by Council.
The park is part of the 40 hectare (100 acre) land transfer from the province via Ontario Realty Corporation.
