Geocache Description:

This right of way may look like jsut a high voltage power coridor, but in fact it is a significant wildlife migration route in and out of the George Bush Park flood control area.

Not very long ago this area West of Houston was part of a vast grassland and then later part of Cinco Ranch. Today the George Bush Park East of here is in reality part of the flood control process for greater Huston. This park contains significant wildlife (deer, hogs, coyote, alligators, snakes, raccoons etc.) that are now surrounded by housing developments and highways. This passage however allows all the wildlife to travel North out of this area. (and into many back yards!!) To find and sign the cache logbook, you will need to look around the area and know: • The number of cross-tee arms on the high voltage tower with the cell antennas on top. • The number of “Cinco Ranch” neighborhood signs you can see. • The number brick posts with the “Cinco Ranch” logo you can see.

There is a convenient gravel parking area, there is no need to park on the roadway. The area is fully accessible by foot or by bicycle!
