A riverside path goes from the dam to the edge of Ballincollig. The cache is situated in a pretty spot where both sides of the river are wooded. This is a nice place to sit by the river and keep an eye open for kingfishers and other river birds. The area is also popular with anglers.
This cache itself is not child-friendly - we were constrained by the terrain and the risk of flooding. Gps is bouncy here, use the hint if needed.
This woods is a little bit out of the way. A waypoint is provided to help you find the right road. It is tarred only as far as the last house. Keep the faith and continue along the road to the car park at the bottom of the hill.
The cache is a small Tupperware container. Phone signal is patchy by the river. We recommend downloading the caches to a saved list.
