Geocache Description:

Time: 1500 - 1530

Date : Saturday 11th March

We are travelling from the UK to visit Geocaching Headquarters in Seattle for our 10,000th cache milestone. We thought it would be silly not to make a drive of a few more hours to visit Canada and add another country to our collection. What better way to do this than to host a flash event and meet a few other local cachers.

Most events in the UK are ether held in a pub or cafe. It seems different here in BC, so we thought 'When in Rome...' The cafe here at Prospect Point looked like it would be good for this, but it seems to be closed for renovation until the summer. However, we want to visit the area and do a few of the caches here so we shall meet outside in the great Canadian winter!

As we are travelling we won't have a shelter to bring along, so we decided that everyone should bring their own umbrellas (even if it is a nice day) that way we can all be recognised and have a group photo taken to mark the occasion. The more brightly coloured and patterned the better!

We understand that it can get quite busy here on the weekend but hopefully the local parking will be available. It would be great to meet some local cachers, we shall have some Trackables to swap and discover. We would also love to hear of any 'Must do' caches in the area.

We plan to try and attempt the nearby Flash and Dash to the cache so if anyone else is interested after the event we can attempt it together.

We look forward to meeting you.
