This cache is hidden in the Tsadok Yosef promenade, where locals walk and jog to stay in shape. It used to be the northern street of Afula, with the city on its one side and fields of green on the other, but now everything is changing. The area to the North of the promenade is known as the "C1" neighborhood, one of the goverment's discounted pricing projects ("מחיר למשתכן"). In a few years time, the promenade will be just another long street between two neighborhoods.
If you are planning to walk along the promenade from this point (you should! There are caches along the way) you should mind the hill. As I learnt in the hard way, during my runs along the promenade, it starts off easy with one flat kilometer and then suddenly rises by 100 m over the next 2.5 km. Coming back, however, is fun and easy.
About Tsadok Yosef - It is very hard to find information about this person. Wikipedia has a page about a different Tsadok Yosef, who was a member of the parliament. Our Tsadok Yosef was deputy mayor of Afula in the 60s. You can see a short slideshow about him that highschool students made in the following link - "people of Afula" based on an interview with his son.
