I highly recommend you begin your journey into the woods on the suggested trail-head marker posted. To your left of that little overlook of cliffs and rocks once there, you will see a tree with GO painted in green letters on it, make your way down the mountain side here, and this is where you may need some rope if you are not a very good climber because it is very steep here and the only thing you have to hold onto are roots. PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO NOT FALL DOWN AS THERE ARE MANY HIGH DROP OFF CLIFFS ALONG THIS MOUNTAINSIDE! You can see a pretty distinguished trail going down if you look, but please use your best judgement, it is a long way down.. Once you make your way about halfway down the hill, to your right should be a fun attraction to see and explore, but be careful because you may encounter wildlife, mostly bats (they are harmless!), upon entering this beautiful hidden cave.
The cache is OUTSIDE of the cave, not inside. renruts had a mystery puzzle cache that led to here many years ago but the ammo can kept getting muggled, so I placed a very well hidden cache here since I believe this place definitely deserves it. Please be careful retrieving the cache, do not pull it out of place, it is meant to be stuck where it is and stay there, simply just unscrew the bottom to retrieve it properly. You MUST SIGN THE LOG to KEEP your Smiley, if not your log WILL be deleted. Please be careful here, bring a flashlight or headlight for exploring inside the cave and watch out for any loose/falling rock along the way and while inside. A good set of hiking shoes/boots would be recommended, and watch for ticks in the spring/summer (although here it is in February placing this pulling them off us on a beautiful 60 degree day!) Some slight bushwhacking may be needed, but mostly a good sense of climbing would be the best tool to have. I hope everyone has fun doing this one!
