Geocache Description:

An easy cache to find, near the roadside just up from the beach in this pretty little village.

This cache was placed to bring you to Suiderstrand. Let's face it, you wouldn't have bothered coming otherwise. Why should Struisbaai and L'Agulhas get all your attention? It's a beautiful little village, surrounded on three sides by the Agulhas National Park and on the other by the most Eastern parts of the South Atlantic Ocean. There's a resident population here, but also a lot of holiday houses. It's quiet here, but it's a growing village, as well. You'll likely see a lot of buildings going up as you wander/drive/pedal/fly around the place. You'll need to take the dirt road past the lighthouse and the most Southerly Point at Cape Agulhas, not forgetting to look out for the Meisho Maru 38 shipwreck (wrecked on 16 November 1982) on your left as you come through. Head for the beach parking, and take a look at the pebbles (high tide) or have some fun in the rockpools (low tide). If you have time, the beach is safe to walk along in either direction: towards Rasper Point to the left (south) and towards Piet se Punt: the cottages on the point round to the right (north). Oh, but don't forget to try and find the cache before you head off! Have fun!
