Geocache Description:

This old Irish water pump is a reminder of how Ireland was in the olden days before everyone had running water in their houses. There are many examples of pumps like this one dotted around Ireland.

A Lot of towns and villages keep them as a decorative feature painting them up etc. This ones painted green which is a typical colour for these pumps in Ireland. It also has a flower box beside it. The top has been reconstructed with wood but keeps the shape and style of how it was originally. There are more examples of water pumps around swords. One outside the Lord mayors pub on the main street and there are two more both of which have geocaches at them. This cache is on a path at the side of a road with lots of passing traffic. There is a house near by and a bus stop is right next to the cache so stealth is required. "Waiting on the bus" at the bus stop or "checking out the pump" will give you good reason to be hanging around without drawing any suspicion at all. If any real bus travelers are waiting on a bus you will have to wait till they get on the bus otherwise you will definitely be muggled.
