Placed on Redbank Valley Trails with permission. Trail is open dawn to dusk. This trail won PA's 2014 Trail of the Year award. Terrain rating is mainly because you can hike/bike into this cache from a couple of different parking areas - see parking coords below. Trail surface has been improved and is smooth. So what is a thorny boulder you ask.... well, the cache is hidden in between those 2 things. Use hint to stay out of the thorns.
Until Fall, 2017 if you are coming in from the Climax Tunnel parking area you will have to use the Tunnel Bypass until construction inside the tunnel is done. Please DO NOT enter the tunnel - it is CLOSED. There are signs with arrows pointing the way from the parking area beside the Climax Tunnel to route you up the road and around the tunnel, then the bypass enters the woods and a nice trail takes you back down to the RVT on the other side of the tunnel. You may even wish to park along the road at N40 59.051, W079 22.388, which is where the Bypass Trail enters the woods again to get back down to the RVT. There is basically no traffic on that back road.
