This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This Cache is located in Hugh Moore Park, which is centered between the Lehigh river and the Lehigh Canal.

The park was once home to the first industrial park in the U.S. and is now home to the National Canal Museum, Josiah White II canal boat, and Delaware Camp; Lehigh National Heritage Corridor offices. Hugh Moore offers plenty of shaded areas for visitors to picnic, a playground, and access to the D&L Trail. Section 8 of the Lehigh Canal is where the Josiah White II sails and is open to kayakers and canoers. The National Canal Museum rents canoes and pedal boats to visitors, and offers rides on the Josiah White II, which is towed by locally housed mules.

To find the cache, enter from parking where the black "Hugh Moore Park" sign arches over the path. Follow this path past the playground and make your way onto the canal path, running parallel with the canal. Follow this Down to the locks where the mules are housed and there is a red house on the right. Then make a slight left and continue down along the grass path. The grass path will lead you right to the coords.

On a side note, if you continue just a bit further up the grassy path, it will lead you up to the train tracks (which are still actively used, so be cautious) and on your right, you will see what used to be a stone bridge. This bridge used to go across the Lehigh and onto the small island where there used to be a park called Island Park. The park was closed in 1919 due to flooding but the island remains and is accessible via boat.

Happy Hunting! There are a few gold dollar coins and a FTF trackable for the FTF.
