Fossil Fever Traditional Cache

Join us on our adventure to find caches and find our funtastic fossil stash! It is located in a fossil hotspot so be sure to bring a strainer and dip in the Peace River to find some fossils while you're here!

Take a walk among the beautiful oak hammock past the trailhead at the Peace River RV & Camping Resort. Start your journey by heading down to the open beach and sift through the riverbed to find some ancient sharktooth fossils. If you don't find any in the river, it may be time to step a few feet back from the river and walk back up the little hill. The first small trail on your left will afford you an opportunity to take a moment to enjoy the beauty of nature. You may want to take a look around and see what you can find. Don't look high, but don't look too low. You may find what you're looking for if you look beyond the trees and see a fallen giant.
