Winton Landing Ground is one of many caches on the Outback Way-finder Trail - the longest Geocache Trail in the world. The Outback Way is one of Australia’s great four wheel drive odysseys. Known as ‘Australia’s Longest Shortcut’, the route runs between Western Australia and Queensland.
A busy and interesting place in Winton. The original QANTAS landing ground, covered an area north of where you will be standing. Today there is no visible evidence of a landing ground here.
Nearby is a Museum and also here is the Musical Fence for all to interact with and enjoy.
