The East London Museum is home to the world’s only surviving Dodo Egg and a reconstruction of the flightless bird that lived on the island of Mauritius. It is fitting that East London’s first Geo-Art should feature the Dodo Egg.

It is also home to the original coelacanth - a prehistoric fish that has lived in the Indian Ocean for 400 million years, thought to be extinct for millions of years, until it was re-discovered in 1938.

To calculate the final coordinates you will need to find the answers to the undermentioned questions.

Answers can be found in the cache listing of Prehistoric Coelacanth GC9HDHW

Final coordinates are S32 54.AB9 E28 03.XY6.

  1. A = What day in December 1938 did Captain Goosen dock in East London = 2A
  2. B = Weight of a pregnant Coelacanth caught off Pebane = B8 kg
  3. X = A brain cavity is also seen in the …gill stingray
  4. Y = The prehistoric coelacanth has lived in the Indian Ocean for 4Y0 million years
