Geocache Description:

Take a walk to the top of Winlass Hill and view the ruts made by pioneers wagons over 150 years ago.

Ever since i started geocacheing i felt this spot needed one.

This Cache is at the top of Windlass hill and then some! Use noted parking,  As you exit your vehicle and look to the South West you can see a low spot on the side of the hill.  this is what is remaining of wagon ruts when pioneers had to lower their wagons down this hill to get into the valley.  To get to this cache, you will take about a 1/4 mile hike up a (very steep) sidewalk to the top of Windlass hill.  Once reaching the end of the sidewalk, and final historical marker, look South.  You can see the low spot that used to be the peak of the hill (more ruts)  follow the dirt trail about another 1/4 mile. Cache will be near the end of the public property (there's a fence, no need to cross)

THIS IS RATTLESNAKE COUNTRY.  BE AWARE ON WARM DAYS.
