Lewiston, Idaho is a hub for outdoor and craft activities the weekend of April 29-30, 2017. On Sunday, the parking lot at Hell's Gate State Recreation Area will be the event location. Morning snacks and water will be provided between 8:45 and 9:15 AM. This is a paid parking location; free parking is available near by. Let's exchange some travel bugs and then those that are able are can join other geocachers as we hike 1.4 miles picking up Basalt Walk 1-6 and ending at Hopping Down the Bunny Trail. GC1PYV3. The Earth Cache called Snake River Basalt, the highlight of the hike. GC3EGTT. If you view this cache information, you will see more of the spectacular scenery and additional parking options. There are miles of power trails along the river with caches. These trails are paved so can be enjoyed on bikes, roller blades, roller skates, pogo stick or by walking. Of course the caches can also be accessed by boat or kayak. For those that stay overnight we can figure out an additional activity for Monday so bring your favorite mode of transportation. Lewiston also is hosting Art Under the Elms on the Lewis-Clark Campus this weekend. There is a lot going on. Let's meet up.
