There are a few things in this world that I love to spend my spare time doing. A few years ago, the Geocaching bug bit me hard and it's found it's way to the top of the list.But crossword puzzles, cribbage, classic country music and THIS activity have been around in my life for much longer.
Two of my best caching buddies...Rumdum and King Uker...are also well vested into this activity. If fact, they just placed highly in a local tournament.
This activity has had some ups and downs over the years. Big in the 70's, died off in the 80's. HUGE in the 90's and all but DEAD in the 00's. But a nice resurgence now has it popping up again.
and there are several similarities to the sounds you hear during this activity and gecaching. Such as:
When you're standing on a nice hill in a cemetery in the country you might say "Feel the power of the Wind"
I still say, when powering up my GPSr "Circuits Activated"
The main reason I don't cache in Illinois? "I hate toll roads"
If you look at a 5✪D you just conqured you look at it and say" You ain't seen the likes of me"
While walking to a 5✪T you might say "Quicksand, fumes, toxic waste" yuk!
While working on your Fizzy or Jasmer "Welcome to the grid"
If caching with others, carpooling is good. You just need to ask "you give to me ride?"
At vents , it's always nice to tell the newcomers "Welcome to this thing of ours"
After pucking that tought pine tree bison "ha ha ha ha gotcha"
In the high muggle areas when you don't have time to mess around "We gotta do this quick baby"
