This is my first hidden cache and it is in an area where many locals enjoy recreation such as walking, horse riding, dog walking and biking. There are several tracks criss crossing the woods but a nice circular one goes round the perimeter and provides a reasonable length of trail.
Aquithie (Aquhythie) wood is mainly a conifer plantation with well defined paths and wonderful open vistas to the Bennachie hills beyond. This woodland walk is very popular with local visitors, enjoying a woodland stroll or exercising their pets.
The medium sized cache has plenty of room for swaps and is tucked away from muggles, not far off the track.
