There used to be a geocache hidden in this cemetery once before, but was archived for whatever reason.
Drive by this location all the time whenever I want to go fishing at Pottawatomie State Fishing Lake #1 north of Westmoreland, KS. Having known that the original cache-hide hear had been archived for a good long time, always wanted to place a cache here. Most times, I would forget about this spot, or not have anything appropriate to place. Today, while heading to the lake to go fishing, stopped by with and placed "something".
In order to get to this cemetery, travel north/south on Flush Road between the towns of Westmoreland/Flush, KS. When you reach the intersection with Admantha Road, turn and travel west. Chase the setting sun for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Loux Road. Cemetery will be on SE corner.
If you have the time, pay a visit to Westmoreland, KS, and see the historical sites concerning the Oregon/California Trails that passed through this region. Also, pay a visit to the teeny-tiny town of Flush, KS, and visit the historical markers around the church grounds. OR try your luck fishing at Pott Lake #1 roughly 5 miles north of Westmoreland on KS HWY 99.
Be careful around cache location for there will be some loose barb wire buried in the tall grass. Tried to remove/reposition as best as possible - you have been warned. Area may affect whatever electronic devices that you use - you have been warned. Giving it the "skull & crossbones" attribute for safety considerations.
As for the cache, watch out for that LEOPARD!! It may just pounce on you if un-CAGEd!!
Remember that this is a cemetery and please observe any/all rules/regulations that may be posted and that we all have read on other page wite-ups concerning these types of locations.
