Celebrating Irving The City and The Man
This year the Irving Heritage Society is making the Annual Celebration of the History of Irving, Texas and Washington Irving more high-tech. During the month of April residents will be encouraged to go out and seek the newly placed Geocaches while learning a bit about the History of Irving in the process. This kick-off event will be jointly hosted with Boy Scout Troop 773, of Irving and will serve as an orientation for folks new to Geocaching. Experienced Geocachers are encouraged to attend as well and me some new faces, and share experiences, as cachers tend to enjoy doing.
*** Prizes will be given to the first 100 people who register to participate at the kickoff event!!!
Refreshments will be provided.
** The Annual Celebration will culminate on April 30th at the Jaycee Center for the Arts:
1975 Puritan Drive, or N 32 50.134, W -96 58.308
Addtional Prizes will be awarded at the Finale on April 30th to those finding 50% of the caches hidden. We hope for this to be a great event for all ages. So come on out and lets have some fun!!!
Note: As per Geocaching.com's guidelines caches will continue to be maintained after the event.
