Xplore A'dale is a series which takes you on an adventure (or several adventures for you technical people out there) through the Floridian City of Auburndale. Enjoy learning about the town's history, visit some of the busiest places in town, and some of the more obscure ones. You might even discover a few of the places that Auburndale just wouldn't be the same without! Also, be sure to watch for the clues to the final unknown/mystery cache! Enjoy your "Xploration", and keep on caching!
I have known about "Grandma" (as we locals call it) literally my entire life. This old fire engine makes appearances in parades from time to time, and is somewhat of a local landmark (although it has moved since from it's original home near the police station). Definitely take a moment to read the historic sign here as well--fascinating story! This cache was originally on the sign itself, until I realized that it wasn't magnetic--so now, you'll have to think even harder about where this one is!
