Преко сиво-белих лапораца панона (пре 11 мил. година) таложени су седименти горњег понта (пре око 6 мил. година). На геолошком профилу су откривени сиви конгломерати, сиви и жути гвожћевити пешчари и смеђи пескови који су таложени у Панонског мора. У овим седиментима је пронађена многобројна слатководна фауна и фауна која је живела у води са јако ниским салинитетом (каспибрактична вода). Досадашњим истраживањима су описане бројне врсте шкољки (Prosodacna vodoplci, Dreissena cnculuta. Limnncardinm ( Euxinicardium) ochetophorum Monodacna simplex ), пужеви ( Vivlpurns .spuria,V, wolfi, V. lenzi, Lithoglyphus fuchis, Theodoxus gnezdai, Melanopsis decollate etc.) и остракода, који су живели у приобалним регијама Панонског мора. Из сивих глина је
издвојена веома богата асоцијација спора и поленових зрна тадашње острвске вегетације, која нам сведочи о благој суптропској и влажној клими. Преко седимената горњег понта, таложени су лесни еолски седименти.
Upper Pontian sediments (about 6M a ago) are deposited over the grey-white marlstones of Pannonian age (about 11 Ma ago) Geological cross section reveals grey conglomerates, grey and yellow ferrous sandstones and brown sands, which are deposited in caspibrackish waters of the Pannonian Sea. Rich association of fresh-water fauna and fauna which lived in a water with very low salinity level were found in these sediments. Numerous species of bivalves (Prosodacna vodoplci, Dreissena cnculuta. Limnncardinm ( Euxinicardium) ochetophorum Monodacna simplex ), Gastropods ( Vivlpurns .spuria,V, wolfi, V. lenzi, Lithoglyphus fuchis, Theodoxus gnezdai, Melanopsis decollate etc.) and tiny ostracod shells were describe during the prevoious investigations, and which lived in near-shore regions of the Pannonian Sea. Rich association of spores and pollen grains from the island vegetation which existed at that time were determined from grey clays, and they indicate presence different type of climate than today. Aeolian loess sediments are deposited over the Upper Pontian sediments.

4. If you make the effort you can find fossils of snails and mussels, which can be washed off in a nearby creek. It is not allowed to take away fossils. But you can also take photo, and leave in a plastic container that is located on the opposite side of the creek in an old tree stump next to benches and chairs (not mandatory)!
