Did you know that there are three places named Sansom Park today? There’s Marion Sansom Park off Roberts Cutoff near Jacksboro Highway. And there’s the town called Sansom Park. Plus, there’s this place: Buck Sansom Park. Note that neither green space is in the city of Sansom Park, and Buck is Marion Sansom too. Confused?
Buck Sansom Park is in Fort Worth and is named for Marion Sansom, Jr. – who went by Buck. Both Marions were ranchers and leaders with the stock show who also impacted the area in other ways too. Just to add confusion, there was also a Marion Sansom III. And please not that it’s “n” before “m” – not “Sampson” as so many locals say.
The cache is a nano in an expected location. Take a walk and you’ll see that they’ve done a good job improving this park recently.
