Iniziamo con alcuni dati tecnici:

La grande piastra centrale a più piani, dove sono state concentrate le attività con i più alti livelli di tecnologia, è collegata con percorsi brevi e diretti ai sette dipartimenti medico-chirurgici con le degenze e gli ambulatori. Collegamenti verticali specializzati, razionalmente distribuiti, completano l’insieme delle connessioni che, interagendo con quelli orizzontali, costituiscono il sistema “arterioso e venoso” dell’organismo ospedaliero.
Con percorsi ampi, diretti e ben segnalati agevolano il personale e allo stesso tempo ai pazienti ed ai visitatori contengono l’ansia e l’incertezza della grande dimensione.
L’articolazione del complesso, in corpi di varia altezza e dimensione, collegati tra di loro consente di far arrivare la luce naturale in tutte quelle zone dove la presenza dei pazienti è più frequente.
Il pensiero mio è andato al famoso "Pentagono". Stesso concetto. Collegamenti rapidi tra le varie funzioni.
