The City of Galena has allowed caches to be placed along the River Trail. We can give back to the City by helping keep it clean.
Looks like this will be an annual event and you can earn the Souvenir.
There will be time during the CITO for stops at any caches you may not have already found. I will also be doing maintenance on caches.
We will meet at 11:45 am at the listed coordinates which is the trailhead. Cross the railroad tracks at the Depot and drive to the end of the parking lot under the bridge where there is plenty of parking available. This will give time for caching before and after the event. We will probably finish before 2.
The trail is 3.5 miles long. I am going to bring my bicycle. My knee is bothering me. If you can't walk that far, you are welcome to bring your bicycle. Whichever mode of travel works for you is fine. If you can only do part of the trail, that is fine too. If we get a large turnout some may want to do the east segment. I have parking coordinates listed for it.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail.
Bring a pair of gloves or your favorite trash pick up TOTT.
