Those who know me will know I am a bit of a FTF chaser. My latest conquest has been a daily FTF streak which lasted from January 24th to March 31st. Blame Plumbguy for the March part as his comment when I said I had FTFs for every day in February was that it wasn't a proper month as it only had 28 days. Plasmawave had given me the world stats on daily FTF streaks as he subscribes to the website that has that information. Top place has 94 days and second has 85 and my targets have been the top UK at 33 and then 2 at 47 and 2 at 60. Once I got to 61, I thought that 86 was too much of a challenge so targetted the end of March and then thought I would continue on a day by day basis but not going too far to get one.
So why "No More The Fool"? Firstly, yesterday I was waiting for a cache from Marcus as he always sets an April Fool cache, only this year he didn't! Secondly I have been travelling some stupid distances just to keep the streak going, such as Tamworth, Harlow, Louth and a few trips into ryo62 setting territory, which surely qualifies me as a fool! In a way it is good that my streak has ended as it is now light nights and the time of year for me to get back to caching on the bike.
