Dinosaur Head Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Kiefer3D: This cache is no longer there. It was pretty much inaccessible, and I live too far away to properly maintain it. Thanks to Bradtal and his friend for removing it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is near a rock formation shaped like a dinosaur's head. It vaguely resembles a T-Rex, or a sauropod of some kind.

This is my first hide. It is located above the North fork of the Poudre River, just upstream of the Seaman Reservoir. Take Highway 287 North from Fort Collins. Turn left onto 14 at Ted's Place, drive for 5.2 miles, and turn right. Follow this to the reservoir (about 1.5 miles.) I suggest going along the East side of the reservoir to the cache.

The terrain at the cache site is pretty unstable with lots of loose rocks and little cactus plants which you'll discover unhappily when you slip. Please do not push on the Dinosaur Head.
